042 Seagull
First of all , thi s book contains many beautiful photographs and thi s is so short story , so it ’ s verall I really easy to read , but tells a lot of messages to us , too .
This is a story about a seagull , named Jonathan Livingston Seagull , who reahis book . It was slly loved to fly . He was not like the other seagulls who thought that all the reason to fly was to eat and to live . He flew for the sake of being free . And he pursued flying under the limitation of norms of gull ’ s society and of speed and skills in flying .
I was so drawn toward Jonathan ’ s challenge spirit . He never gave up whatever difficulty happened , and kept challenging limitation and his ability .
He taught me the importance of pursuing what I really want to do , believing ourselves and keeping making effort at it , and never giving it up . Of course , in doing that , hard and bitter thi ngs , or some difficulties may happen , but we can be more intelligent and stronger through those thi ngs . To pursue somethi ng , we need so much effort . ( Jonathan really took so much pain and so long time ! )
I love the sentence of very beginning of thi s book , “ To the real Jonathan Seagull , who lives withi n us all ” . This story gives me great power and courage , and also makes me thi nk what I am and what I want to do .
008 Seagull ( ペーパーバック )
I liked thi s book . It was so fast to read less than 40 minutes and the nice Seagul pictures were placed ok throughout the book . It is a simple story and at times it is kind of corny , but overall I really enjoyed it . The first section is really good , the middle one , so-so , the thi rd ok . If you read it to your children they might understand a little .
