- Bangladesh receives $61 mln in foreign aid in July-August
Bangladesh received 61.118 million U. S.dollars in foreign aid from the development partners in the first two months of the current fiscal year (from July 2010 to June 2011).

Eliminating the worst forms of child labor is the most urgent and important task Bangladesh should undertake in line with the new National Child Labor Elimination Policy, said speakers here in a seminar Saturday.

Bangladesh launched Efficient Light Initiative Saturday to distribute energy saving bulbs free of cost to millions of households.

China's Ministry of Finance said Wednesday that the country would grant zero tariff status to 4,762 categories of commodities now imported from 33 of the world's least developed countries beginning July 1.
