one day, mohan srivastava, ms '88, found a couple of old tic-tac-toe lottery tickets on his desk, scratched them off--and realized there had to be a trick to this: the lottery corporation needs to control the number of winning tickets. the game can't be truly random. instead, it has to generate the illusion of randomness while actually being carefully determined. srivastava cracked the code--and for his next trick, had to get the ontario lottery to pay attention to the problem. 詳しくはこちらの雑誌(wired magazine)をクリックしてみてください( 『こちら』 )
