Isla Amantani (Puno) i joined to the tour to isla amatani & taquire for 2 days which the hustler who tried to sell me on first day of puno. (he said 100sol per person. damn! the average is 60sol) that was an odd experience.after arriving at amantani, we were introduced to host family. the bathroom was a real wild style that self flash... you know how it's far from the human civilization.the husband of host family must haven't taken a bath for years and it directly reached to our nozes.my temporary roommate was from the u,s jeff and chad so it's not hard to talk with. the fact was both of them watched the studio ghibli works!!after introducing, host family told us that we'll cook lunch so when it's done, we'll call you all. so we were watching the parade of canderalia(festival same as puno). however we took long to see then host family came to plaza to pick us back and we immidiately returned to our room.the husband was angry!! eat fast and go to plaza to meet your tour members. so we start eating in rush. after eating the meal, we had two choices that climbing the 4100m hill or wathing the festival. i chose to climb for sure.in the evening, we went to the party which was explained that local event but it was not. it was simply organized by handful numbers of local family and local kids to get tip from the tourist. i felt uncomfortable. they made us as they wear and the husband of our host family said buy the rise and oil for my wife okay? but the wife never asked us during joining to this boring event so we didn't buy any then the husband got angry and yelling us why didn't you buy anything!? so i answered i was not asked! sorry we're sleepy good night ciao.after woke up, the wife came our room and said tip! what the hell.... but i thought this is the style of local peru so we did give 5sol each, total 20sol. maybe that's not huge amount of money and the wife was looked like sad.from the experience of living in the u.s, i think tipping is your obligation. not to be forced but in this island, amantani, everybody is forced to pay. most of tourist who just travel to puno might pay 10sol each but i don't think i have to follow the local rules of tip at that moment so i told my roommates that we don't have to put huge amount. then we did leave a small amount.they always say the pride of kechua, the custom of aimara but what is their pride? what is their custom? is that asking huge amount of gratitude for foreigners? if so, that is simply not good isn't it? don't proud to obey the money to someone from the other countries.from the beginning, puno is not for tour. they invite you to titikaka tour many times on the street but not so friendly. this is also said by the other guys who joined to this tour. in puno, everything is different. no one looks at you like welcome! perhaps what are you doing here?yes, i agree.this tour taught me again how the peru is.how peru is depending on tourism although i have very good friend from peru.to be continued to taquire.me uní a la gira a la isla amatani & taquire durante 2 días que el estafador que trató de venderme el primer día de puno.
