- Morning Tech Wrap: iPad 2, Google Circles, Anonymous
Apple is already doing a roaring trade for the iPad 2--if Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster is to be believed. Munster's team contacted stores run by Target and Best Buy and found they had sold out the device, suggesting Apple had sold as many as 500,000 iPad 2 tablets on its debut weekend. Fortune reports that Munster also conducted a survey of 236 respondents in lines for the iPad 2 in New York and Minneapolis and found that 70% were buying an iPad for the first time. Writes Munster in his research note, out yesterday:

We believe this shows Apple is expanding its base of iPad users, which is critical to maintaining its early lead in the growing tablet market.

Meanwhile it looks like Apple may not include NFC (Near Field Communications) hardware in its next-generation iPhone, which would let consumer wave the phone in front of a device at a retail store to pay for something. The Independent cited sources at several large British mobile operators as saying Apple had disclosed in meetings that it would not include NFC technology in the iPhone 5. One of the sources added that Apple was concerned by the "lack of a clear standard across the industry." Appleはすでに計算された2の轟音の貿易を行っている - Piper JaffrayのアナリストGene Munsterは信じられるとされている場合
