社会貢献ブログ warmest regards to friends, neighbors and the people of japan. although my place of birth is in america i have a profoundly deep relationship with japan. i have spent the better part of the last 32 years living and working with the people of this country. i have the privilege to know hundreds of people as friends and i have had influence upon thousands of others. over the last 10 days i have heard from a number of family and friends back in the u.s. asking me when was i coming home? my response has been, i am home. tokyo is as much my home as the city and country of my origin. i will not be going anywhere in the near future. far to many people look to me for leadership and guidance for me to even consider joining those who are fleeing the country. what i have observed over the last ten days has moved me beyond any words i could fashion to describe. none the less i will make an attempt to do so. the people of japan have been magnificent. your courage, civility, compassion and exemplary behavior in the face of this overwhelming tragedy has been a shining inspiration to the world. many from the outside are astonished by this and many have commented to me about it. i am proud of you. in recent years i have heard many disparaging comments directed toward the youth of this country. today they are volunteering their services in numbers so great that they are overwhelming the system to use them. do not concern yourself with the next generation. the future of japan is in good hands! it is in times of great adversity that the true character of people is revealed. those of weak character will surrender and allow circumstance to crush them. but those of great character will rise up, they will overcome any challenge and will emerge victorious. japan has done it before, you will do it again. you will continue to astonish the world. in my business i have often been heard to say that our number one product is hope. hope is not something that we sell. it is something that we give away. as long as there is hope there is life. please hold fiercely to your hope. never allow the circumstances of the moment to diminish it. be a victor, not a victim. do not allow the purveyors of fear and despair steal your hope. ignore the voices that tell you to live in fear and mistrust. have confidence in your god given abilities to rise above any challenge or circumstance no matter how daunting they may appear to be. i am proud to be a part of your society. i have been deeply moved and inspired by you. i will endeavor to continue to bring hope and confidence to those whose lives are placed in my path. thank you and god bless you!÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷j・p社長寄稿文 「いま、もっとも大切なこと」2011/03/28 (月) 04:35 午後 先週の金曜日、私は仙台を訪問することができました
