Russian PM to visit Ukraine Russian Prime minister Vladimir Putin will pay a two-day working visit to Ukraine to meet Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
The meeting is planned for July 24, Yanukovych's press secretary Denys Ivanesko said Thursday.
Putin is also expected to attend a ceremony marking the Russian Navy Day on July 25 in Crimea, a Black Sea peninsula, local media reported.
Yanukovych is in Crimea on his vacation and plans to return to work Aug. 24.

Ukraine's GDP to grow 4 percent in 2011: World Bank Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) would grow 4 percent in 2011, the World Bank's Ukrainian office said Thursday.
According to a World Bank statement, the estimate of GDP growth for this year had been improved to 4.3 percent from a previously estimated 3.5.
The bank noted the dynamics of economic growth would slow to 4 percent in 2011, but accelerate to 4.5 in 2012.

Greek cargo ship with 24 crew members seized by Somali pirates Somali pirates seized on Wednesday morning a Greek cargo ship sailing with Liberian flag in the Gulf of Aden, the Greek Coast Guard said on Wednesday.
The ship, Eleni P, with a 24 member crew aboard, was sailing from Ukraine to China carrying iron, according to unconfirmed sources.
The cargo ship reportedly belongs to the Greek company Eurobulk and has Greek and Philippine seamen on board.&$

Russia, Ukraine embraces new era in relations President Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday wrapped up a two-day visit to Ukraine, concluding his seventh meeting with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich since the latter assumed office in February and bringing home a handful of agreements.

Polish-Ukrainian railway offers to serve EURO 2012 Heads of Polish State Railways and Ukrainian Railways met in Warsaw Thursday to discuss an offer for the Euro 2012 soccer championships, spokesman for Polish State Railways Michal Wrzosek said.
