- ...
while i was on my way to school at 6:30am, i ran into some insane traffic on the 10-east.
the small strip from walnut grove and the 605 connector usually takes me 5 minutes to drive through, but due to the traffic, i got stuck in that area for approximately 45 minutes.
i freaked out and thought i would be late to class because the freeway was just not moving at all.
it looked like there was an accident because there were a ton of equipment trucks out there fixing the divider between the 10-east and west.
after i got past the part where the freeway was completely blocked off, i sped my ass to school.
i was driving at 90mph, which i don't ever do because i always try to keep it under 85mph.
luckily, i made it to school with a few minutes to spare before i had to be in class.

- 平均70歳のバーベキュー?
what struck me most about this scene, is that it had been very common around japan more than fifty years ago.
yet in the big cities today it can't be found. so when i saw these gatherings pop back up in my home town after so many years, i felt a time-slip.
