- ICBC to auction 22b in sub debt
Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), the world's most valuable bank, said Tuesday it plans to issue 22 billion yuan ($3.2 billion) in 10- and 15-year subordinated bonds to maintain its Tier-2 capital.
The bonds will be issued from September 10 to September 14 and begin secondary market trading September 14, it announced on the website chinabond.com.cn.

Selling short-term subordinated debt following regulations approved by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) can satisfy the need for liquidity and optimize the structure of assets and liabilities for domestic securities companies, said a report published by Guotai Junan Securities.

- ABC set to issue bonds to boost CAR
Agricultural Bank of China Ltd (ABC), the country's third-biggest lender by assets, will sell 40 billion yuan ($6.17 billion) of subordinated bonds from June 2 to 7, according to a statement released on Monday on the website of China Central Depository & Clearing Co, Ltd.
To boost its capital adequacy, ABC will sell 8 billion yuan of 10-year bonds and 32 billion yuan of 15-year bonds. It also has an option to sell an additional 10 billion yuan of bonds, according to the statement.
