Intense lobbying over award of tenders at the Mombasa port in Kenya is threatening to delay construction of the second container terminal which is funded by the Japanese government.

Kim Jong Il, leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), recently watched a combined military exercise, the country's official news agency KCNA reported Wednesday.
Kim Jong Il is supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA) of the DPRK, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defense Commission (NDC) of the DPRK.
