- Cyprus helps Lebanon with rescue efforts after Ethiopian plane crash
Cyprus has sent a helicopter to Lebanon to help with rescue efforts after the crash of an Ethiopian plane, a Cyprus official said on Monday.
A second rescue helicopter has been ready, said Minister of Communications and Works Nicos Nicolaides.
Nicolaides expressed his government's deep regret over the tragedy.

After decades of oppression and disasters, Haiti needs a clear plan for sustained improvement in people's livesDevelopment aid in Haiti has been largely ineffective in creating sustained improvements in peoples' lives over past decades.
