German auto giant BMW Group on Friday began recalling more than 21,000 luxury sedans in China to fix a faulty brake system, while British carmaker Jaguar Land Rover recalled 30 Discovery 3 TDV6 diesel vehicles, China's quality watchdog said Friday.

- Train crash in Slovakia kills three, injures 15
A locomotive ran into a passenger train in east Slovakia's Spisska Nova Ves town Thursday, killing three and injuring 15.
The accident took place inside the town's railway station when the locomotive's brake system failed and it ran into the passenger train, which was stopped at the station.

Seven Japanese automakers are likely to install braking systems that will allow drivers to stop their cars even if the accelerator is pressed down, company officials said Thursday.
