- Russian airliner skids off runway, no casualties
An Airbus A321 plane of Russia's Ural Airlines on early Saturday skidded some 30 meters off the runway while landing, with all 143 passengers and eight crew members aboard unhurt.
According to the air company's press service, the incident occurred at 04:25 a.m. local time (2325 GMT Friday) when the aircraft tried to land on an iced runway of the Yekaterinburg airport.
